The Brigade 2506 (also known as Brigada Asalto 2506) was created in 1960 as a CIA-funded organization comprised of Cuban exiles with the goal of overthrowing Fidel Castro's government. In an attempt to achieve this objective, the group carried out the unsuccessful Bay of Pigs Invasion on April 17, 1961 in Cuba.
