Original Pre World War Two Italian MVSN ONB Model 1923/27 Officer’s Tunic with Black Dress Cord.
MVSN (Voluntary Militia for National Security) officer's tunic, that belonged to a Capomanipolo serving in the ONB (Opera Nazionale Balilla). This early tunic originates from the transitional period spanning the late 1920s up to the 1931 uniform regulations: it is classified as a 1923/27 model, characterized by the absence of black piping along the cuffs while displaying the second type of fasces on the collar. The garment is still embellished with the black cords typical of the full-dress uniform and features on the left arm the distinctive insignia utilized during this interval by MVSN personnel affiliated with the Fascist youth organization (ONB). This specific uniform configuration is rare, having been in use only until 1934, when MVSN officers in the ONB were provided with uniquely designed uniforms featuring white insignia. Although a smaller size, it remains appropriate for a mannequin; the tunic is overall in excellent condition.
