Here we are proud to offer this amazing and extensive archive of 1940s Federal Bureau of Investigation Finger Print Analysis Agent Loren Arthur Leininger.

Loren Arthur Leininger, born 10 February 1923 in Boone County Iowa, Died 03 April 1999.

Within this Archive includes Leininger’s;

• FBI War Certificate for serving his country stateside during the Second World War as well as a wallet size card of the certificate.
• 18 Photographs including two of himself and two of his wife, one of which was back stage of a beauty contest. 
• Leininger’s Complete Fingerprint kit from the Chicago Institute of Applied Science where he attended with its original order sheet. 
• A example Fingerprint Sheet that Leininger tested on himself.
• 5 FBI Recreation Association cards signed by Leininger.
• And 6 FBI headed letters, 5 of which are stapled together, One of which is a live authentic signature from the Director of the FBI John Edgar Hoover (January 1, 1895 – May 2, 1972) who was an American law-enforcement administrator who served as the final Director of the Bureau of Investigation (BOI) and the first Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). President Calvin Coolidge first appointed Hoover as director of the BOI, the predecessor to the FBI, in 1924. After 11 years in the post, Hoover became instrumental in founding the FBI in June 1935, where he remained as director for an additional 37 years until his death in May 1972 – serving a total of 48 years leading both the BOI and the FBI and under eight Presidents.
