The Aerial Gunner Wings were authorized on April 29, 1943. Two piece stamped silver wings with applied winged bullet in center of badge. These are the reduced size for casual wear and ceremonial. The design of the winged bullet in the center of the badge was taken from the Aerial Gunner Award that was established in 1926.
