Interestingly, this flag of El Salvador bears "Dios, Unión, Libertad" in a circle in the center, which differs from the typically seen Salvadoran State, War, and Civil Ensign that bears the motto horizontally in the center. This design of the Flag of El Salvador, was adopted on May 17, 1912, by President Manuel Enrique Araujo.
