Original US 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne) Identification Photo that hung at 1st SFG Headquarters. These ID Photos were necessary back at base incase any of the Operators went Missing or were Killed in Action. The ID photo still retains the Operators name “SFC Hicks” on the obverse, and his MOS “MOS 76K” on the reverse. The photo is a wonderful small studio portrait that was clearly hand colored by the photographer prior to being made into this ID card. Included in this lot is also two original Vietnam era Special Forces Group insignia’s: The Special Forces distinctive shoulder sleeve insignia (SSI) with Airborne Tab, and jump wings oval. 

Special Note: the ID Photo is ex Jason Hardy collection, curator of The Special Forces History virtual museum and author of MAC V SOG: Team History of a Clandestine Army.
