Original World War Two US Army Air Forces Aerial Gunner Wings.
Full size 3” featuring a pin bar with clasp, marked Sterling.
The Aerial Gunner Wings were authorized on April 29, 1943. Two piece stamped silver wings with applied winged bullet in center of badge. These are the regulation size for wear on a uniform coat or tunic. The design of the winged bullet in the center of the badge was taken from the Aerial Gunner Award that was established in 1926.
