Original Bush War era Rhodesian Women’s Service (RWS) Cap and Single Collar Badge Lot of Two.
All lugs intact, gilt brass for officers. These insignia were worn for a short period of time between 1975-1980.
The Rhodesian Women's Services (RWS) was a unit formed in 1975 to address manpower shortages in the Rhodesian Security Forces during the Bush War. Initially an experiment, it became a vital part of the Rhodesian Army, with the first 11 officers commissioned in 1977. The RWS demonstrated the progress of women from various backgrounds into professional soldiers.
