Original World War Two era German Educational Chart depicting Bronze Age Germanics.
After World War Two Schulwandkarten (educational charts) no longer used the gothic font. Very scarce. The artist of this depiction, Wilhelm Petersen (1900-1987) was trained by a Hamburg decoration painter and at the School of Applied Arts. During the Third Reich period, Petersen was a member of the SS and well-known as a highly successful artist and exhibited at the ‘Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung’. After the War, he was mainly active as an illustrator and was very successful with his drawings of ‘Mecki’ books.
