Original World War Two US Army Second Armored Division Shoulder Sleeve Insignia Patch.
The 2nd Armored Division, also known as "Hell on Wheels," was a crucial armored division in the United States Army during World War II. With major involvement in the invasions of Germany, North Africa, and Sicily, as well as the liberation of France, Belgium, and the Netherlands, the division proved to be a powerful force. In the later years, during the Cold War, the division was primarily stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, with a reinforced brigade forward stationed in Garlstedt, West Germany. In 1995, following their participation in the Persian Gulf War, the division was deactivated.
