The Motorcycle Jacket, a timeless and iconic American symbol of cool and toughness, was created by Schott NYC in 1913 under the leadership of brothers Irving and Jack Schott. In 1928, the brand revolutionized the industry with the release of the world's first motorcycle jacket, the "Perfecto," designed specifically for Harley Davidson. This innovative design featured functional zippers, a departure from the traditional button closures seen on jackets prior, allowing for increased maneuverability. The jacket gained widespread recognition in 1953 when Hollywood icon Marlon Brando wore the Schott Perfecto in the film The Wild One, as a rough and tough motorcycle gang leader further cementing its association with rebellion.
